Anthony Borrelli is a Harvard College student musician from Needham, Massachusetts. After beginning his musical journey at age four with the piano, Borrelli has since become fluent on the guitar, bass, drums, and vocals, while also teaching himself how to write, record, and produce his own music. His recent writing blends elements of folk, country, Americana, and singer-songwriter to craft compelling and thought-provoking music that often encourages his audience to reflect on modern issues, especially labor rights and political divisions in the United States. Outside of these songs, Borrelli writes in various styles and genres, such as indie, pop punk, metal, and even barbershop quartet. In all of his music, Anthony plays every instrument and sings, even when it means teaching himself how to play the banjo, mandolin, lap steel, accordion, and harmonica when needed. Aside from his solo career, Borrelli is also the lead guitarist and backup vocalist for the loud rock band 13 Seconds with his close friends and sister.Â
In a more formal setting, Borrelli is a member of prestigious choirs, currently singing in the Harvard-Radcliffe Collegium Musicum. He has also participated in the 2023 and 2024 MMEA Eastern Senior District festivals, as well as the 2024 and 2025MMEA All-State festivals as a bass. During the summer of 2024, Borrelli also sang in the Harvard Summer Chorus and its select Chamber Choir. At Harvard, Borrelli sings bass/baritone in the Harvard Callbacks, the college's premier all-gender a cappalla group.
